Picture yourself in a video game, swinging your generously oversized katana at the monsters in front of you while your girlfriend stands in the back and spins her glowing white staff to heal the party. Now picture yourself sitting at your game table, your actual girlfriend is sitting next to you, and you're making all this video-gamey goodness happen as you roll dice with your friends.

Now, what if you could design your own abilities, the same nasty status effects bosses use on you actually work when you use them on bosses, every character always has something unique to bring to the table, and when your powers combine, you can do things like fire flaming dragons out of cannons while the dragons swing giant hammers that crack open your opponent's armor in freeze-frame?
